# Manage Members

### **Adding a Member:**

1. Click on the "Add member" button.
2. Insert the public key of the member.
3. Specify permissions for the member if you have a [**Squads Business** plan](/main/getting-started/pricing.md) (More about "Permissions" [here](broken://pages/xf50DWqN9Ge4aPZmi9HZ)).
4. You can optionally change the Squad threshold in the same transaction. If not, the threshold will remain the same with a new member added to the Squad.
5. Click the "Initiate transaction" button.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Reminder: Adding members or changing the confirmation threshold will cancel all "Active" and "Ready" transactions in a Squad. Complete these transactions before making changes to your Squad threshold to avoid issues.
{% endhint %}
